Just days before he'll have to put his best skate forward in training camp, Charlie Coyle was doing the same with reporters. Coyle, 25, served as the Minnesota Wild representative in New York City for the NHL's North American media tour this week.
The two-day event saw Coyle visit with myriad media outlets, discussing everything from his Bostonian upbringing to the new season to his hobbies. He even found some time to take in another New York event: the US Open.
Once it was down to business, though, Coyle put on his game face. He revealed his talent for art, his favorite TV show and even what his career would be if he wasn't a professional hockey player. He also modeled the new Wild sweaters, part of a league-wide rebranding with Adidas. And since it wouldn't be hockey without some chirping from teammates, Matt Dumba chimed in with a Tyra Banks-esque analysis of Coyle's modeling prowess.
