Position Summary:

Directs all financial activities for the organization to obtain efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits by performing assigned duties personally or through subordinate managers and staff. Encourages and maintains a culture of producing results and getting things done by instilling an environment that rewards quick decision making. Improves processes and procedures to make the organization more efficient and effective in the marketplace and to achieve financial, operational, business and human resource goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and manages the organizations budget within approved guidelines.
  • Establishes and/or recommends to management, major economic objectives and policies for the company.
  • Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Advises management regarding insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities and on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions.
  • Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Develops systems and procedures for orderly reporting of financial matters.
  • Directs, prepares and provides financial analyses of the operation to assist in guiding management.
  • Assures compliance with internal controls.
  • Prepares and files tax and license information returns to comply with all laws, rules and regulations.
  • Pays all taxes in a timely manner.
  • Manages and executes all payroll functions including service charge distributions to applicable staff.
  • Manages and executes accounts payable.
  • Manages and executes accounts receivables.
  • Manages and oversees inventory and inventory procedures.

Qualifications Required:

  • Masters degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of word and excel.
