Clayton Stoner Assigned To Houston

by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild

Clayton Stoner impressed during the 2006 Centre I.C.E. prospects tournament in early September. But a shoulder injury in the final game meant he didn’t get a chance to impress at the Wild’s training camp. On Monday, the rugged defenseman was assigned to Houston, where he skated last season and posted 24 points (6-18=24) and a plus-six rating in 73 games during his rookie campaign.

Stoner was the Wild’s third round pick (79th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
