CALL OF THE WILD- BEGINS FOURTH SEASON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, The National Hockey League& (NHL) Minnesota Wild, in conjunction with Comcast Cable, announced today that the fourth season of ;Call of the Wild; will begin on Saturday, October 15 at 10:30 AM on ESPN2. A total of eight episodes will air on ESPN2 and Comcast Cable throughout the season. Comcast Cable subscribers can view ;Call of the Wild; on ESPN2 on Saturdays at 10:30 AM.
Produced by Comcast Cable, in association with the Wild, the half-hour program features Wild player interviews and community appearances, and highlights upcoming events at Xcel Energy Center as well as news and notes from around the NHL. .The show will be taped before a live audience at selected locations throughout the Twin Cities starting Tuesday, October 11 at 5:30 PM at Awada; Grill in Woodbury (9854 Norma Lane). Wild center Wes Walz is the scheduled guest for the first show.
Long-time Twin Cities sports reporter Jeff Grayson will host ;Call of the Wild; this season. Grayson, a fixture in the Twin Cities market for more than a decade, will be making his debut on the show Saturday.
With its unique on-air presence, Call of the Wild reaches more than 673,500 homes, multiple cable zones and fourteen counties on a weekly basis. Comcast Cable will broadcast Call of the Wild each week on channel 13 at 6:30 PM on Tuesdays and Sundays.
