Raphael Bussieres has been hotter than the center of a Hot Pocket cooked on the surface of the sun.
The Wild prospect has been as hot as a group of Victoria Secret models dancing Gangnam Style.
He’s been scorching like the flames that Khaleesi walked into – hatching three petrified dragon eggs.
The forward is hotter than a walk-off between Zoolander and Hansel.
Bussieres is as hot as…well you get it.
The Wild’s second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft was named the Canadian Hockey League Player of the Week, for the week ending Nov. 18. During the seven-day stretch, the forward piled up 10 points (4-6=10) and was a plus-3.
Currently, he is on a 13-game point streak for Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The streak began on Oct. 28 and during the stretch, he’s amassed 11 goals and 15 assists.
Four days after his 19th birthday, Bussieres celebrated with a goal and assist, leading Drakkar to a 5-2 victory over Rouyn-Noranda. That game kicked off an eight-game goal-scoring streak, falling only one game short of highly touted NHL prospect Nathan MacKinnon’s league-leading streak.
After a slow start and being left off Team QMJHL in the Subway Super Series, his offensive turnaround has been paramount. The team was named on Oct. 16, and the next night, Bussieres scored a goal and an assist. He went on a four game point-scoring streak before being blanked on Oct. 26.
Before Team QMJHL was named, Bussieres had five points (2-3=5) in nine games. In the 18 games since, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward has 14 goals and 17 assists. He’s helped Baie-Comeau climb into second place in the East Division and the fourth-best record in the QMJHL.
He’s so hot, that if Paris Hilton called, she might become relevant in pop culture again.
Now that’s hot.
