| Former Wild defenseman Brad Bombardir is now with the team in a front office role. |
The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today named Brad Bombardir Director of Community Partnerships.
In his new full-time role with the organization, Bombardir, 34 (5/5/72), will be responsible for growing the club’s grass roots hockey initiatives. He will also assist in a wide variety of the Wild’s community partnership initiatives, including the planning and executing of player appearances, aiding with the charitable interests of Wild players, and representing the Wild organization at various community events. Bombardir will also play a role in select Minnesota Wild over-the-air television broadcasts on KSTC.TV at Xcel Energy Center.
He was originally named Community Partnerships Liaison on an interim basis on January 30.
The Powell River, British Columbia native has appeared in 356 career NHL contests during eight seasons with the New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators and Minnesota. Bombardir skated in 212 matches in four seasons with the Wild (2000-04) and was named the monthly captain seven times during his career, claiming the honor more than any other player in franchise history.
