AEROS REDUCE ROSTER BY TWO

HOUSTON, Texas - The American Hockey League’s Houston Aeros have assigned defenseman Colin Peters to the ECHL’s Pensacola Ice Pilots and have released left wing Derek Campbell from his pro tryout. The Aeros now have 20 skaters and three goalies on their roster.

Peters was signed by the Aeros as a free agent September 14. The Eden Prairie, Minn., native attended St. Cloud State University and spent last season with UHL Quad Cities. He had three AHL stops in 2004-05 totaling seven games. Peters didn’t appear in a regular-season game for the Aeros.

Campbell attended Houston camp on a tryout and signed a PTO prior to the regular season. He accumulated four penalty minutes in two regular-season games for the Aeros.

The Aeros continue a five-game road trip Friday in Peoria at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at Grand Rapids at 6 p.m. Houston returns home Friday, Oct. 21 at 7:35 p.m. to take on Grand Rapids. Click here for tickets. The first 5,000 fans will receive "A Winning Tradition" poster. It’s a collectible you won’t want to miss! The poster features Aeros legends "Mr. Hockey" Gordie Howe, Dave Tippett, Cam Stewart, Brian Wiseman, Curtis Murphy, David Oliver, Frederic Chabot, Johan Holmqvist and Josh Harding.
