Friends. A job. A home. Shopping for groceries. Cooking a meal. Going to the movies. Hopping the train. Hosting a party.
You may take these activities for granted, but people with autism can't. More than 3.5 million Americans live with autism. And without help, they're likely to live in isolation, dependent on their families for the rest of their lives. That's where we come in. At Minnesota Life College, we help young adults with autism in their pivotal, post-high school years, and give them what high school can't-namely, the real life skills they need to live happy, independent, productive lives.
Simply put, we address a need no other organization tackles, bringing pride, hope and joy to lives that could otherwise be limited and lonely.
If you or someone you know has a child with autism, come see what we're all about. Join us Thursday, May 4, from 6-8 pm for an on-campus information session. RSVP on our website to tour the campus, see a student apartment, and hear from a panel of students and graduates.
