Do you remember your first bike? Most of us do, and we think every child should have that same memory. That is why we've created the FB4K 1st-Bike Factory. Every year, we give thousands of children their very first bike. During October and November, we bring in thousands of volunteers from the community to prepare these bikes for their new homes. Every touch matters, everyone is an important part of the process, and we need your help.
Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a non-profit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. The public donates gently used bikes, we organize thousands of volunteers to clean and refurbish them, and then we give them away to kids in need.
Twenty-five million bikes are sold in the U.S. every year, and one-third have 20-inch wheels or smaller. Since kids grow like weeds, over 8 million bikes are outgrown each year. Endless supply. Sustainability.
Since 2008, FB4K has given away 38,000 bikes to kids in need. Most are ridden daily. This leads to better sleep, better academic performance, health and happiness. Each bike is a smile and a life changed. To make a financial donation or learn more about Free Bikes 4 Kidz, and how you can get involved, please visit the website below.
