Turco, 28, has appeared in 72 of Dallas' 77 games this season and has compiled a 36-21-13 record, a 1.98 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. His 36 wins on the season currently lead the National Hockey League, while his nine shutouts rank second in the league and his goals against average is good for fifth. Turco is eligible to return to action for Dallas' last regular season game of the season on April 4 vs. Chicago.
Bacashihua, 21, has appeared in 38 games for Utah this season, posting a 12-19-5 record with a 2.70 goals against average, a .915 save percentage and three shutouts. The native of Garden City, Mich., was the selected by the Stars in the first round (26th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Bacashihua has yet to appear in an NHL game.
The Stars play the third contest of a four-game road trip at Vancouver on Saturday (9 PM CST face-off, FSN, News/Talk 820 WBAP), and the team will conclude the trip at San Jose (8 PM, kdfi 27) on Sunday.
