Hockey can be a strange game sometimes. But Roman Polak's stick took things to another level on Thursday against the Colorado Avalanche.

As the Stars defenseman tried to clear a puck in deep early in the second period, Polak's blade became wedged in a partition along the glass, sending him tumbling to the ice while leaving the stick, well, sticking out of the stanchion.

Unfortunately for Dallas, officials did not penalize the glass two minutes for holding the stick.
