The Texas Stars went 1-2-0 over the past week and are now 24-21-3 on the season, ranking fifth in the AHL's Pacific Division. The Stars were down a few players this past week, including defenseman Julius Honka and forward Denis Gurianov who are both out with injury. Goaltenders Philippe Desrosiers and Landon Bow both had strong showings in the ECHL. Here's the latest on the minor league affiliates of the Dallas Stars.
Friday, February 17: Texas 4, Chicago 3 (OT)
Nick Ebert scored on the power play with 26 seconds remaining in overtime as the Texas Stars won their fourth straight game, defeating the Chicago Wolves, 4-3, at H-E-B Center Friday night. Travis Morin, Brandon DeFazio, and Mike McMurtry also scored for Texas. Justin Peters stopped 18 of 21 shots to get the win in goal.
Saturday, February 18: Chicago 4, Texas 1
The Stars' four-game winning streak came to an end with a 4-1 loss to Chicago in Cedar Park Saturday. Ethan Werek scored the lone goal for the Stars, and Justin Peters stopped 20 shots in suffering just his second loss since joining the Stars.
Monday, February 20: San Jose 5, Texas 3
The Stars opened a stretch of six straight games on the road with a 5-3 loss at San Jose Monday. Defenseman Ludwig Bystrom scored his first two goals of the season, and Remi Elie also scored for the Stars. Justin Peters got the start in goal and was pulled early in the second period after allowing four goals on 14 shots. Max Lagace played the rest of the way, stopping 14 of 15 shots. The win was the 12th straight for San Jose.

Notes: Honka, Gurianov banged up
\Defenseman Julius Honka has missed the past two games with an upper-body injury suffered in Friday's game against Chicago. He is day to day.

Forward Denis Gurianov has missed the past two Texas games with a lower-body injury. He is listed as day to day.
\The AHL suspended Texas forward/defenseman Matt Mangene six games for a cross-checking incident in Friday's game against Chicago. He'll be eligible to return March 1 when Texas plays at San Jose.

Defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk did not play Monday. He was on family leave to be with his wife and newborn daughter.
*Forward Justin Dowling returned to the lineup Friday after missing 13 games due to injury.

Idaho Steelheads
The Idaho Steelheads won all three of their games over the past week, improving to 29-17-7 on the season. The Steelheads are in third place in the ECHL's Mountain Division. Goaltender Landon Bow posted his first ECHL shutout Monday, stopping 43 shots in a 1-0 win over Utah. Bow is 13-3-1 with a 2.29 goals-against average and .929 save percentage in the ECHL this season.
Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers, who is playing with Norfolk in the ECHL, made 40 saves and stopped four of five shots in the shootout as the Admirals defeated Orlando, 3-2, Sunday. Desrosiers is 3-1-0 since joining Norfolk with a 2.06 goals-against average and .943 save percentage. For the season, Desrosiers is 8-4-0 in the ECHL with a 3.32 GAA and .907 SV%.
