Julius Honka tallied 5 points as Texas won two of three games last week

The Texas Stars went 2-1-0 on a three-game homestand last week and are 4-3-1 on the season. Defenseman Julius Honka had a big week, registering five points (two goals, three assists) and right wing Matej Stransky chipped in four points (three goals, one assist). Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers picked up his first win of the season, stopping 34 of 35 shots in a 2-1 overtime victory over Ontario. The Stars hit the road for a three-game road trip this week. Tuesday, October 25: San Antonio 4, Texas 2

The Stars lost their fourth straight game, falling to San Antonio, 4-2, at H-E-B Center on Tuesday. Cole Ully and Matej Stransky scored goals for Texas, and Julius Honka had two assists. Maxime Lagace got the start in goal and stopped 27 of 30 shots.

Friday, October 28: Texas 5, Ontario 4

Julius Honka scored two goals, including the game-winner early in the third period, as the Stars snapped their four-game skid with a 5-4 victory over Ontario in Cedar Park Friday night. Matej Stransky, Andrew Bodnarchuk, and Travis Morin also scored for Texas. Maxime Lagace stopped 27 shots to get the win in goal.

Saturday, October 28: Texas 2, Ontario 1 (OT)

Philippe Desrosiers stopped 34 shots to earn his first win of the season, and Matej Stransky scored 38 seconds into overtime to lift the Stars to a 2-1 victory over Ontario at H-E-B Center. Remi Elie scored in the first period to stake Texas to a 1-0 lead. Desrosiers came up big in the second period, stopping 15 of 16 shots to keep Texas in the game. And then Stransky scored the game-winner in OT, his fifth goal of the season.

Idaho Steelheads

The Idaho Steelheads won two of three games last week to improve to 3-3-1 on the season. Goaltender Landon Bow, who is under contract to Texas, stopped 39 of 40 shots in a 3-1 win over Reading on Saturday. Bow is 2-2-1 this season with a 3.05 goals-against average and .903 save percentage.
