Former Dallas Stars netminder and current goaltending consultant for the club, Andy Moog, has been in the Brahmas ownership group for 13 years, and couldn’t be more ecstatic about the playoff run the club is experiencing.
“The Brahmas’ run to the CHL Finals this season has been extremely gratifying and very exciting for the entire franchise,” said Moog. “The team is made up of a really great group of guys who have worked incredibly hard all season. I’m really hoping their hard work is rewarded, and we badly want to bring the championship back to North Texas. This is another testament to the growth of hockey at all levels in the Metroplex, and we’re hoping for a great deal of fans at the CHL Finals home games.”
Moog became owner of the Brahmas franchise in 1998, and served as team president until the spring of 2002, when he stepped down to become an assistant coach with the Stars. Having spent the last seven years in various roles with the Stars, including goaltending coach/consultant and now player development chief, Moog co-owns the Brahmas along with New York businessman Stuart Fraser.
The Brahmas look will host Games Three, Four and Five at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, beginning Sunday at 3:05 PM. Game Four is slated for a 7:05 PM start on Tuesday and Game Five (if necessary) will be on Wednesday at 7:05 PM. For CHL Finals ticket information, please contact the Brahmas Box Office at (817) 336-4423 or visit the club’s website at www.brahmas.com
The Dallas Stars wish the Texas Brahmas the best of luck in their pursuit of a CHL championship!
