Sturm Blog: Viva HD

It seems awfully early in the year to be taking a trip to Alberta and the Western Canada swing, but let's get it on.

I very much love Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. I was lucky enough to take the trip with the team a few years back, and let me tell you - if you can only go on the road once with the Stars, this is the trip.

The cities are great. Hockey is king. The games are intense. It is wonderful. As Ferris Bueller once said, "it is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend it".

Of course, there is one problem about this road trip.

No HD.

That is right. The Stars will be in HD about 60 times this season. Sadly, these 3 are not included in the 60. There must be some difficulty getting games in Canada in HD, because as I can tell, none of the games north of the border are in brilliant HD. Also, road games on My27 also seem to be Standard Definition.

I will try to get a clear explanation on all of this, because I know many of you have become HD snobs, too.

Again, not a real deal breaker. I just want you to know that I have become spoiled by HD as much as you have.

I actually remember about 3 years ago that there would be 5 games in HD and I would get all excited. Now, there are 60 on HD, and I catch myself complaining about the other 22. Spoiled, eh?

Someday soon, every game will be in HD, I bet.

Can't wait for a tricky night in Edmonton. Interested to see this outfit in the road whites. In SD.
