About the Stars

The Stars (15-14-3) haven’t played since Monday, when they lost 7-4 to the Wild at American Airlines Center. The Stars gave up a season-high 42 shots in the game.

“We’ve got to be stronger in our own end defensively, in front of the net,” said Stars center Derek Roy. “Kari (Lehtonen) can’t be making five or six saves in a row.”

This is the third game of a five-game homestand for the Stars, who have a 1-1-0 mark after the first two games.

The Stars enter Fridays’ game in 10th place in the Western Conference, three points out of eighth place.

Injuries: F Ryan Garbutt (hand) is out.
