DALLAS STARS RECALL LEFT WING CONNER FROM PEORIA
– The Dallas Stars announced today that the NHL club has recalled left wing Chris Conner from the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Conner, 25, has posted 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points in 25 games with Peoria this season, leading the club in goals and placing second in points. This is Conner’s third recall to Dallas this season, having played in 12 NHL games with the Stars, earning five assists and two penalty minutes.
The native of Westland, Mich., has appeared in 45 career NHL games with the Stars, notching four goals and nine assists for 13 points with 12 penalty minutes. The 5-8, 180-pound left wing made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut in Game Three of the Western Conference Finals vs. Detroit last spring.
Conner had a stellar career at Michigan Tech University, leaving as the school’s all-time leader in shorthanded goals (15) and ranking 19th among goal-scorers in MTU history with 69 tallies. He was named to the 2004 WCHA Second All-Star Team.
The Stars’ next game is this Saturday at Edmonton (9 pm CT, FOX Sports Southwest, News/Talk 820 WBAP).
