Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the club has recalled center Justin Dowling from the Texas Stars, Dallas' top development affiliate in the American Hockey League, and placed forward Jiri Hudler on Injured Reserve.
Dowling, 26, appeared in two games for Dallas this season and recorded one assist (0-1=1). He made his NHL debut on Oct. 25 and registered his first NHL point with an assist vs. Winnipeg. His nine points (2-7=9) in eight games with Texas this season are tied for second on the team, while his seven assists are tied for first.
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Cochrane, Alberta was signed as an undrafted free agent by Dallas on March 26, 2014.
Hudler, 32, has not recorded a point in four games this season. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Olomouc, Czech Republic was signed by Dallas as a free agent on Aug. 24, 2016.
