About the Stars

The Stars (40-31-10) wrapped up a three-game road trip with a 4-0 win at Anaheim Wednesday. The Stars won all three games on the trip and improved to 8-3-0 over the past eleven games and 13-5-0 over in the past 18 games.

“I thought our team played great,” said Stars captain Jamie Benn. “We took care of our defensive zone. Our goalie (Jhonas Enroth) played great and look what happens, you get a win.”

Benn picked up three assists in the game, giving him 83 points on the season. He is one point behind both Sidney Crosby and John Tavares for the NHL scoring lead.

Stars defenseman Alex Goligoski did not practice Friday due to an undisclosed injury. Center Tyler Seguin was held out of practice after being late.

Saturday is the final game of the season for the Stars. It is fan appreciation night.

Injuries: D Alex Goligoski (undisclosed) is questionable.

About the Predators

The Predators (47-24-10) lost 4-2 to Minnesota on Thursday. Nashville led 2-0, but the Wild rattled off four straight goals – including an empty-netter – to secure the victory. It was the fifth straight loss for Nashville (0-3-2).

“It’s not good enough,” Predators captain Shea Weber said. “We have to look at ourselves in the mirror and realize what it’s going to take to win, especially going forward here. Maybe it’s a good wake-up call so we can realize we’re not playing good enough hockey going into the playoffs.”

Despite the loss, the Predators still secured second place in the Central Division and home ice in the first round of the playoffs. They’ll play either Chicago or Minnesota when the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin next week.

Injuries: C Fisher (lower body), D Cody Franson (upper body) and C Calle Jarnkrok (illness) are questionable. LW Eric Nystrom (lower body) is out.
