About the Stars

The Stars (12-10-2) are coming off a 2-1 loss at Phoenix on Saturday, which gave them a 1-1-0 record on their two-game road trip. The Stars fell behind 2-0 in the game, scored on a five-on-three power play to cut the lead to one but couldn’t cash in on a second five-on-three to tie the game.

“We should have got a point. (Down) 2-0 against these guys, it’s not easy to come back,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “We had lots of time and chances, we just didn’t convert. Better fate, I don’t know. I wish we could have got a point out of here.”

Tuesday’s game begins a four-game homestand for the Stars, who play nine of their next 11 games at American Airlines Center, where they are 5-4-1 this season.

“We have four big home games here and we need to get points,” said Gulutzan.

Center Jamie Benn (wrist) did not practice Monday. Ray Whitney (foot) and Brenden Morrow (groin) both practiced, although Morrow left early. All three are questionable for Tuesday.

The Stars recalled RW Tomas Vincour from the Texas Stars (AHL) on Monday and assigned LW Matt Fraser to Texas.

Injuries: LW Jamie Benn (wrist) and LW Ray Whitney (foot) and LW Brenden Morrow (groin) are questionable. D Aaron Rome (foot) is out.
