DALLAS STARS ANNOUNCE 2006 PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE
Dallas Will Host Atlanta, Phoenix, Colorado and Tampa Bay
During Seven-Game Schedule
FRISCO, Tex. -- The Dallas Stars announced today that the club will host four pre-season games at American Airlines Center in Dallas and will play a total of seven preseason contests in 2006.
The Stars also announced today that training camp for the Stars' 14th year in Dallas will open on Friday, September 15 at the Frisco Dr Pepper StarCenter. Medicals and photos will take place on Thursday morning in Frisco, followed by practices on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Dallas will then begin its seven-game pre-season schedule with the Atlanta Thrashers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 18 in Dallas.
Other games of note during the pre-season include a visit by the Phoenix Coyotes on Friday, September 22. The perennial Western Conference rival Colorado Avalanche will be in town on Wednesday, September 27 and the 2004 Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning will come to Dallas on Saturday, September 30.
The NHL regular season schedule will be released sometime in mid-July.
