Stars' Playoff Foe is Vancouver

The Dallas Stars learned their playoff opponent on Saturday afternoon and it will be the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks won the Northwest Division with their overtime win over San Jose on Saturday, clinching the No. 3 Seed. Dallas clinched the No. 6 Seed while San Jose will be No. 5.

The Western Conference Quarterfinal Series between Dallas and Vancouver is expected to start this Wednesday night in Vancouver, with game 2 coming on Friday, April 13. The Stars' first HOME playoff game is probable for Sunday night, April 15, with Game 4 in Dallas probable for Tuesday, April 17. All series in the playoffs will be a best-of-seven-games format. The Stars will play Chicago on Sunday at Noon in their final regular season game of the 2006-07 season.
