About the Stars

The Stars (22-25-10) lost 5-3 at Nashville Sunday. The Stars had a 3-0 lead late in the second period, but the Predators scored five unanswered goals, including four in the third period to complete the rally. 

"That one really stings. It's a tough one," said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. "Our power play was going well. We did a lot of good things. That hurts."

"I don't know what to say," said Stars captain Jamie Benn. "You go into a third period with a 3-1 lead, and your life is on the line. [If] that's the effort, that's the result that we get. It's unacceptable."

The loss was the fifth in the past six games for the Stars and the fourth straight on the road.

Tuesday's game is the second of a three-game road trip for the Stars.

Injuries: C Jason Spezza (upper body) is day to day. D Johnny Oduya (ankle), RW Ales Hemsky (hip) and C/LW Mattias Janmark (knee) are on injured reserve.

About the Jets

The Jets (25-29-4) lost their fourth straight game, falling 4-1 to Tampa Bay Saturday in Winnipeg. The Lightning led 2-0 after one period and extended the lead to 3-0 early in the second.

"Our season is on the line," Jets forward Mathieu Perreault said. "We have to come out with energy. I don't know what's happening. We're going to have to find a way with the boys all together and figure ourselves out."

Winnipeg fell to 0-3-0 on its current homestand which concludes with Tuesday's game against the Stars.

Injuries: G Ondrej Pavelec (lower body) is day to day. D Toby Enstrom (lower body) is out. C Marko Dano (lower body) and D Tyler Myers (lower body) are on injured reserve.
