About the Stars

The Stars (26-22-8) lost 4-1 at Colorado Saturday. The Stars, playing on the second night of a back-to-back, were missing injured forwards Tyler Seguin, Ales Hemsky and Patrick Eaves and suspended forward Antoine Roussel.

“I don’t think we had as much jump as we’ve had over the last few weeks. I thought we were a little bit flat as a group,” said Stars center Jason Spezza. “When we get behind on these back-to-backs it’s tough playing from behind when you’re chasing the game the whole night.”

Hemsky (lower body) did not practice Monday and is out for Tuesday. He is listed as day to day. Seguin is out 3-6 weeks with a knee injury. Eaves is out with a concussion.

Tuesday’s game wraps up a stretch of five of six on the road for the Stars.

“It’s an important one,” said Stars captain Jamie Benn. “We want to rebound after last game. It’s another big divisional game, and we need the points right now. It’s that time of year.”

Injuries: C Tyler Seguin (knee), RW Patrick Eaves (concussion), RW Ales Hemsky (lower body), RW Valeri Nichushkin (hip) and D Patrik Nemeth (arm) are out.

About the Blues

The Blues (37-15-4) won 2-1 in a shootout at Florida on Sunday. Blues goaltender Brian Elliot made 40 saves in regulation and overtime then stopped four of five in the shootout.

“The [Panthers] did a great job of throwing the puck on net,” Blues defenseman Barret Jackman said. “A lot of them were from outside. We did give a couple from the middle that we weren't happy with, but they played hard, they came at us. If it wasn't for [Elliott], we'd be going home with our tail between our legs.”

The win was the third straight for the Blues and gave them a 15-2-1 record over their past 18 games.

Tuesday’s game kicks off a four-game homestand for the Blues.

Injuries: D Kevin Shattenkirk (abdomen) and LW Chris Porter (leg) are out.
