*The Stars lost back-to-back regulation games for the first time since Oct. 19-20, when they lost at Los Angeles and Anaheim on back-to-back nights.

*The road loss was the Stars’ first since Oct. 29 at Montreal.

*The Stars fell to 1-4-2 against the Central Division.

*The Stars are now 6-6-2 vs. the Western Conference.

*St. Louis improved to 7-0-1 vs. Central and 8-1-3 against the West.

*The five goals against were a season-high for Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen.

*The Stars outshot the Blues 35-25.

*Cody Eakin led the Stars with five shots.

*The Stars won 32 of 67 (48 percent) of faceoffs. Vernon Fiddler won 9 of 14 (64 percent). Cody Eakin won 5 of 16 (31 percent). Shawn Horcoff won 4 of 12 (33 percent). Tyler Seguin won 5 of 6 (83 percent).

*The Stars were 0-3 on the power play and 2-3 on the penalty kill.

*Former Stars captain Brenden Morrow played 10:29 for the Blues. He had one assist, one shot on goal and a plus-one rating. The assist against the Stars gives Morrow a point against all 30 NHL teams.

*Blues coach Ken Hitchcock won his 621st game, moving into eighth on the NHL’s all-time list.
