The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has reassigned forward Travis Morin to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).
Morin, 29, was recalled from the AHL on Oct. 27 and did not appear in a game for Dallas. With Texas this season, he has earned at least one point in each of his first eight contests and leads the entire AHL with 18 points (8-10=18). The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward was the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 20 for posting nine points (4-5=9) in four games.
The native of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota has appeared in three career National Hockey League (NHL) contests, all as a member of the Dallas Stars during the 2010-11 season. Originally drafted by Washington in the ninth-round (263rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft, Morin was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 12, 2010.
