Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced today that the team has activated defenseman Aaron Rome from the Injured Reserve list.
Rome, 30, was placed on Injured Reserve on Dec. 2, retroactive to Nov. 24, with a lower body injury. Yet to appear in an NHL game this season, he has recorded one assist and a +1 plus/minus rating in eight games with Texas of the American Hockey League.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound native of Nesbitt, Manitoba was originally selected by Los Angeles in the fourth round (104th overall) of the 2002 NHL Draft. He was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2012.
