FIVE THINGS TO WATCH:

1. The Dallas Stars and Columbus Blue Jackets meet for their third of four contests on Thursday night. Dallas has won the previous two contests against the Blue Jackets and have won three consecutive games against them overall.

2.  Twenty of the 42 meetings between the Stars and Blue Jackets have been decided by one goal (47.6%). The 47.6% mark is the highest percentage against any Western Conference opponent all-time.

3. Dallas and Columbus each have four shorthanded goals, and are tied for sixth in the NHL in that department. A Stars/Blue Jackets game hasn’t produced a shorthanded goal in nine games between these two clubs.

4. The Dallas Stars have not lost a game in regulation when leading after two periods since Oct. 31, 2009 (vs. NSH). Since then, the Stars have compiled a 50-0-5 record when leading after two periods.

5. Dallas hasn’t allowed Columbus to score over two goals in a game in their last nine meetings (does not include shootout totals). The last time Columbus scored three or more goals in regulation against Dallas was Nov. 19, 2009 when the Blue Jackets defeated the Stars 4-1 at American Airlines Center.
