The Dallas Stars put together consecutive wins for the first time this season, defeating the Edmonton Oilers, 3-2, in overtime Wednesday night at Rexall Place. Jaromir Jagr scored the game-winner 1:46 into overtime for the Stars, who have won three of their last four games and are now 5-5-1 on the season. Jamie Benn had one goal and one assist in the game, and Derek Roy scored his first goal as a Star. Kari Lehtonen stopped 27 of 29 shots.
Jaromir Jagr, who scored the shootout winner against Phoenix last Friday, came up big beyond regulation again for the Stars. He picked off the rebound of a Jamie Benn shot in overtime, slipped around Oilers defenseman Ryan Whitney and beat goaltender Devan Dubnyk with a shot from the right circle at the 1:46 of overtime. It was the 668th career goal for Jagr, moving him into a tie with Luc Robitaiile for tenth place on the all-time NHL list.
