The Dallas Stars chances of making the playoffs took a big hit Tuesday night as they lost 3-2 to the San Jose Sharks at HP Pavilion. The Stars held a 2-1 lead late in the game, but San Jose scored two goals within 30 seconds to take a 3-2 lead that held up the rest of the way.
The loss left the Stars three points out of eighth place in the Western Conference with just two games left in their season. San Jose clinched a playoff spot with the victory.
Antoine Roussel and Loui Eriksson scored goals for the Stars. Kari Lehtonen stopped 34 of 37 shots.
