The Dallas’ Stars four-game winning streak came to an end Wednesday night as they lost, 7-4, at Calgary. The loss also snapped a three-game road winning streak for the Stars. Brenden Morrow scored two goals, and Eric Nystrom and Cody Eakin also tallied. Richard Bachman got the start in goal and stopped 16 of 22 shots for the Stars, who dropped to 7-6-1 on the season. Mike Cammalleri scored three goals for the Flames, who improved to 4-4-3 on the season.
Flames take control early
The Flames took control of this game early, scoring three times in the first 9:55 of the game to build a 3-0 lead. Jay Bouwmeester scored off a scramble in front of the net 3:11 into the game. The Flames then scored on their first two power plays of the night to make it a 3-0 game. The Stars would never get closer than a two-goal deficit after that.
