Here’s an update on how Dallas Stars prospects playing in Europe, juniors and colleges fared over the past week.


*RW Denis Gurianov (first round/2015) had an up and down week in Russia. Gurianov was sent down to juniors early last week and played one game, scoring a goal while playing on the second line and logging 18 minutes of ice time. He then returned to his team in the KHL and played one game, logging a little more than five minutes while skating on the third line. Gurianov has five points (4 goals, 1 assist) in 44 games this season. He has played two games in juniors this season, including one game back in September, registering one goal.

*LW Roope Hintz (second round/2015) scored his second goal of the season, tallying in HIFK’s 3-0 win over the Espoo Blues in Finland’s top league on Saturday. Hintz has ten points (2 goals, 8 assists) in 22 games.

*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) registered one assist in three games for Assat in Finland’s top league, giving him 15 points (two goals, 13 assists) in 47 games.

*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) did not score in two games for Ilves in Finland’s top league. Makela has one assist in 30 games this season.

*G Markus Ruusu (sixth round/2015) lost his only start of the week in Finland’s second highest league, stopping 24 of 26 shots in JYP-Akatemia’s 2-0 loss to Hermes. Ruusu has a 2.98 goals-against average and .903 save percentage with JYP-Akatemia.

*G Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) went 0-2-1 for LeKi in Finland’s second highest league over the past week. Kiviaho has a 3.28 goals-against average and .889 save percentage in ten games with LeKi this season. He has a 2.28 goals-against average and .915 save percentage in eight appearances in the top league.

*D Miro Karjalainen (fifth round/2014) did not play over the past week.

*D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) recorded one goal and one assist in three games for HV 71 in the Swedish Hockey League over the past week. Hansson scored a goal and logged 22:44 of ice time in a 5-3 win over Frolunda on Thursday. Hansson has 20 points (6 goals, 14 assists) in 34 games.

*D John Nyberg (sixth round/2014) did not pick up any points in one game for Frolunda in the SHL. Nyberg has no points in six games since joining Frolunda last month.


*LW Brett Pollock (second round/2014) registered one goal and two assists in two games for Edmonton over the past week. Pollock has points in six of his past seven games and has 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) during that stretch. He has 57 points (20 goals, 37 assists) in 53 games for the season.


*D Aaron Haydon (sixth round/2014) scored his third goal of the season, tallying Niagara’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Kitchener on Friday. Haydon has 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) and a plus-14 rating in 48 games.

*G Brent Moran (fourth round/2014) won his first game with Flint, stopping 37 of 40 shots in a 4-3 overtime win over Saginaw on Wednesday. The victory snapped a 15-game losing streak for Flint. Moran is 1-13-3 since being acquired by Flint in December.

*D Alex Peters (third round/2014) had no points in three games for Flint over the past week. Peters has 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) in 40 games.

*D Chris Martenet (fourth round/2015) did not register any points in three games for London. Martenet has 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) in 50 games. He ranks fourth in the OHL with a plus-32 ranting.

*D Patrick Sanvido (seventh round/2014) had no points in two games for Windsor. Sanvido has 7 points (1 goal, 6 assists) and a plus-16 rating in 32 games.


*D Joseph Cecconi (fifth round/2015) registered an assist and a plus-two rating in Michigan’s 4-1 win over Michigan State on Saturday. Cecconi, a freshman, has 6 assists and a plus-16 rating in 25 games.

*D Michael Prapavessis (fourth round/2014) had no points in 2 games for RPI. Prapavessis, a sophomore, has 12 points (2 goals, 10 assists) in 30 games.
