Here’s an update on how Dallas Stars prospects playing in Europe, juniors and colleges fared over the past week.


*D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) scored his first goal since Oct. 31, tallying on the power play in HV 71’s 4-2 win over Djurgardens Saturday in the Swedish Hockey League. Hansson has 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in 26 games, ranking tenth among SHL defensemen in scoring despite missing eight games with a shoulder injury.

*D John Nyberg (sixth round/2014) did not register any points in two games in Sweden’s second highest league. Nyberg has six points (one goal, five assists) in 38 games.

*RW Denis Gurianov (first round/2015) registered no points in three games for Lada Togliatti in the KHL over the past week. Gurianov has five points (four goals, one assist) in 39 games.

*LW Roope Hintz (second round/2015) was injured in HIFK’s game against Ilves on Friday. HIFK’s coach told Finnish media that the injury did not appear to be serious. Hintz has seven points (one goal, six assists) in 16 games.

*G Markus Ruusu (sixth round/2015) stopped 26 of 27 shots as JYP-Akatemia defeated RoKi, 6-1, in Finland’s second highest league on Saturday. Ruusu is 4-8-0 with a 3.15 goals-against average and .898 save percentage with JYP-Akatemia this season.

*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) played three games over the past week, one in Finland’s top league and two in the second highest league and did not register any points. Makela has one assist in 22 games with Ilves in the top league. He has two assists in ten games with Leki in the second league.

*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) had no points in two games with Assat in Finland’s top league. Vancouver has eleven assists in 38 games.

*G Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) played two games with Leki in Finland’s second highest league over the past week, stopping 44 of 48 shots but losing a pair of 2-1 decisions.

*D Miro Karjalainen (fifth round/2014) did not play over the past week.


*D Michael Prapavessis (fourth round/2014) picked up the primary assist on the only goal of the game as RPI defeated Cornell, 1-0, on Friday. Prapavessis has eleven points (one goal, ten assists) in 24 games and ranks eighth among ECAC defensemen in scoring.

*D Joseph Cecconi (fifth round/2015) had no points and a plus-two rating in two games for Michigan. Cecconi has five assists and a plus-13 rating in 21 games. He is tied for fifth among all players in the Big Ten in plus/minus rating.


*LW Brett Pollock (second round/2014) recorded one assist in four games for Edmonton over the past week, giving him 47 points (17 goals, 30 assists) in 45 games. Pollock leads the Oil Kings in both assists and points and ranks third on the team in goals.


*D Chris Martenet (fourth round/2015) had no points and a plus-four rating in three games for London over the past week. Martenet has seven assists and a plus-31 rating in 41 games and is tied for fourth in the OHL in plus/minus rating.

*D Patrick Sanvido (seventh round/2014) had no points and a plus-one rating in two games for Windsor. Sanvido has six points and a plus-17 rating in 24 games. He has been an even or plus player in 20 straight games.

*D Aaron Haydon (sixth round/2014) recorded one assist and a plus-two rating in two games for Niagara. Haydon has seven points (one goal, six assists) and a plus-nine rating in 39 games.

*D Alex Peters (third round/2014) had one assist in three games for Flint over the past week, giving him eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 32 games.

*G Brent Moran (fourth round/2014) lost all three of his decisions for Flint over the past week. Moran is 0-9-2 since being acquired by Flint, which has dropped its past ten games (0-8-2) and has the third-worst record in the league.
