Prospect Report

by Mark Stepneski / Dallas Stars

Stars defense prospect Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) is off to a great start this season in the Swedish Hockey League, but it appears he could be out for a while after suffering a shoulder injury in HV 71’s game on Thursday. There is no definitive timetable on Hansson, but HV 71’s website said Hansson could be out “weeks.”

The 20-year-old Hansson leads SHL defensemen in scoring with 14 points (four goals, ten assists) in 17 games, and he ranks ninth in the league in ice time at 22:13 per game.

Here are updates on other Dallas prospects playing in Europe, juniors and college this season.
