Here’s an update on how Dallas Stars prospects playing this season in juniors, Europe and college fared over the past week.


*LW Brett Pollock (second round/2014) picked up three assists in three games for Edmonton of the WHL over the past week. Pollock has seven points (two goals, five assists) in seven games this season.

*D Chris Martenet (fourth round/2015) had a big game Friday, registering two assists, a plus-four rating and getting third star of the game honors as London defeated Sudbury 6-2. Martenet has two assists in six games this season.

Martenet stats: London/OHL, 6 GP, 0 G, 2 A, 2 PTS, +6 rating, 10 PIM

*D Patrick Sanvido (seventh round/2014) suffered a knee injury in Thursday’s game between Windsor and Peterborough and could be out a while. Windsor Spitfires GM Warren Rychel told the Windsor Star that Sanvido could be out one month.

*D Alex Peters (third round/2014) registered no points in three games for Flint of the OHL over the past week. Peters has no points in eight games this season.

*D Aaron Haydon (sixth round/2014) had no points in two games for Windsor over the past week. Haydon has no points in seven games this season.

G Brent Moran (fourth round/2014) won one of two starts for Niagara last week, stopping 16 of 17 shots in a 5-1 win ov
er Barrie on Thursday. Moran is 2-4-0 with a 3.81 goals-against average.

*RW Denis Gurianov (first round/2015) had no points in four games for Lada Togliatti in the KHL. Gurianov has one assist in 12 games this season and is averaging 12:23 of ice time per game.

* D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) had no points in two games for HV 71 in the Swedish Hockey League. Hansson has four assists in eight games this season. Hansson, who played 28:10 in Thursday’s game against Rogle, leads the league in average ice time at 23:40 per game.

*D John Nyberg (sixth round/2014) registered two assists for Oskarshamn in Sweden’s second highest league. Nyberg has four points (one goal, three assists) in 12 games.

*LW Roope Hintz (second round/2015) remains out with a back injury and has yet to play this season for HIFK in Finland’s top league.

*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) picked up one assist in two games for Leki in Finland’s second-highest league. Makela has two assists in six games for Leki.

*D Miro Karjalainen (fifth round/2014) registered three points (one goal, two assists) in two games for HIFK in Finnish juniors last week. Karjalainen had the game-winning goal and an assist in HIFK’s 3-2 win over Tappara. Karjalainen has four points (one goal, three assists) in five games.

*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) registered two assists in two games over the past week for Assat in Finland’s top league. Vance has three assists in eleven games.

*G Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) did not play last week in Finland’s second-highest league.

Kiviaho stats: Leki/Mestis, 2 GP, 0-1-1, 6 GA/52 SVS, 2.98 GAA, .897 SV%

*G Markus Ruusu (sixth round/2015) played in Finland’s second highest league last week, stopping 29 of 35 shots as JYP-Akatemia lost 6-1 to Leki.

Ruusu stats: JYP/Junior, 9 GP, 2-7-0, 35 GA/265 SVS, 4.23 GAA, .883 SV%

Ruusu stats: JYP-Akatemia/Mestis: 2 GP, 0-2-0, 10 GA/70 SVS, 5.03 GAA, .875 SV%


*D Michael Prapavessis (fourth round/2014) had no points as RPI went 1-1-0 on opening weekend, losing to Massachusetts-Lowell 3-0 Friday and knocking off top-ranked Boston College 2-1 on Sunday.

*D Joseph Cecconi (fifth round/2015) and Michigan open the season this weekend against Mercyhurst.
