The playoffs continue in North American juniors and a couple of Dallas prospects have suited up in international play. Here’s an update on how Dallas Stars prospects who are still playing in juniors and Europe fared over the past week.
Ontario Hockey League
*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) registered one assist as Erie defeated London, 5-2, to sweep its second-round OHL playoff series and advance to the Western Conference Finals against Ste. Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) played in just one of three games as Rimouski won three straight to win its second-round series against Gatineau. Desrosiers was pulled after giving up two goals on four shots in the first 5:45 of Game 3 and did not play the rest of the series. Louis-Philip Guindon, who helped Rimouski rally for a 5-2 win in Game 3, started Games 4 and 5, allowing just one goal.
“Philippe had done nothing wrong on the two goal, but Guindon returned and delivered the goods. He changed the momentum of the match,” Rimouski coach Serge Beausoleil told media. “We have two good goalkeepers in whom we trust.”
Rimouski’s opponent in the QMJHL semifinals is to be determined.
