Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, the European leagues and U.S. colleges.
Subway Super Series
Forward Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) registered one goal and one assist in two games for Team WHL in the Subway Super Series vs. Russia. Ully scored in the first game, which Russia won in a shootout last Monday. He notched an assist in the game two, a 3-2 regulation win for Russia on Tuesday.
Forward Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) is scheduled to play for Team OHL Monday when it plays Russia. Forward Remi Elie (second round/2013) is expected to play for the OHL in that game as well.
Goaltender Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) is expected to get one start for the QMJHL when it takes on Russia this week in the final two games of the series.
The Subway Super Series features all-star teams from the WHL, OHL and QMJHL playing against a team of junior players from Russia. The Russians have won the first three games of the series.
Western Hockey League
*LW Brett Pollock (second round/2014) picked up two assists in one game played for Edmonton of the WHL. Pollock has six points (one goal, five assists) in his past three games and leads the Oil Kings in scoring with 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) in 20 games.
*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) went scoreless in two games for Kamloops over the past week. Ully has 28 points (nine goals, 19 assists) and is tied for fourth in WHL scoring through Saturdays’ games.
Ontario Hockey League
*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) picked up two assists in three games for Belleville of the OHL. Elie leads the Bulls in scoring with 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 21 games.
*C Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) registered one assist in three games for Guelph over the past week. Dickinson has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 15 games.
*D Patrick Sanvido (seventh round/2014) had no points in two games. Sanvido has three assists in 19 games.
*D Aaron Haydon (sixth round/2014) went scoreless in two games for Niagara over the past week. Haydon has five points (two goals, three assists) in 20 games.
*G Brent Moran (fourth round/2014) lost his only start last week, stopping 36 of 41 shots in Niagara’s 5-1 loss to Peterborough. Moran is 4-12-0 with a 3.28 goals against average and .904 save percentage.
*D Alex Peters (third round/2014) is out with a knee injury.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) won his only start of the week, stopping 28 of 30 shots in Rimouski’s 3-2 victory over Blainville-Boisbriand. Desrosiers is 10-4-1 and ranks second in the QMJHL with a 2.53 goals against average.
United States Hockey League
*RW Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) registered one goal and one assist in two games for Muskegon of the USHL. Paulovic has 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 16 games.
*D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) scored one goal in two games for Rogle in Sweden’s second highest league. Hansson leads all junior players in the league in scoring with 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 23 games. He is tied for seventh in scoring among all defensemen in the league.
*LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) had no points in two games for Rogle. He has five assists in 22 games this season.
*D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) did not score in two games for Farjestad in Sweden’s top league. Bystrom has one assist in 11 games for Farjestad.
*D John Nyberg (sixth round/2014) played three games for Frolunda in junior hockey, registering no points. Nyberg has eight points (three goals, five assists) in 11 junior games this season.
*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) picked up one assist in three games for Ilves in Finland’s top league over the past week. Makela has five assists in 10 games for Ilves this season.
*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) didn’t register any points in two games for Assat in Finland’s top league. Lindell has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 19 games. He ranks fourth in the league in average ice time at 24:40 per game.
*D Miro Karjalainen (fifth round/2014) remains out due to illness.
*D Dmitry Sinitsyn (seventh round/2012) played two games in the KHL over the past week, registering no points. He has no points in three games with Dynamo Moscow in Russia’s top league.
*C Devin Shore (second round/2012) did not pick up any points in one game played for the University of Maine over the weekend. Shore, a junior, has six points (four goals, two assists) in 11 games.
*D Michael Prapavessis (fourth round/2014) played two games for RPI over the weekend and did not factor in the scoring. Prapavessis, a freshman, has two assists in 12 games. He leads the team with a plus-five rating.
