Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, the European leagues and U.S. colleges.
Western Hockey League
*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) continues to rack up the points in the WHL, registering six points (two goals, four assists) in three games over the past week for Kamloops. Ully is tied for the lead league in scoring with 20 points (eight goals, twelve assists) in 13 games, and his eight goals are tied for fourth in the WHL.
*LW Brett Pollock (second round/2014) notched five points (two goals, three assists) in four games for Edmonton over the past week. Pollock has nine points (four goals, five assists) in nine games this season.
Ontario Hockey League
*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) had a big week for the Belleville Bulls of the OHL, registering seven points (three goals, four assists) in three games. Elie has 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) in ten games and is tied for fifth in the league in goals and tied for sixth in the league in points.
*C Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) picked up two points (one goal, one assist) in three games for Guelph last week. He has seven points (three goals, four assists) in six games.
*D Aaron Haydon (sixth round/2014) scored two goals in three games for Niagara over the past week. He has three points (two goals, one assist) in nine games.
*G Brent Moran (fourth round/2014), who started the season with five straight losses, won two of his three starts for Niagara. He picked up his first win with a 33-save effort in a 7-4 victory over Stars prospect Remi Elie and Belleville on Thursday. Moran is now 2-6-0 on the season with a 2.90 goals against average and .909 save percentage.
*D Patrick Sanvido (seventh round/2014) registered one assist in three games for Windsor over the past week. Sanvido has two assists in nine games.
*D Alex Peters (third round/2014) was injured in Plymouth’s 6-4 loss at Kingston on Friday and did not play Saturday or Sunday. He is expected to be evaluated early this week.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) went 1-2-0 over the past week for Rimouski of the QMJHL. Desrosiers is 5-3-0 with a 2.50 goals against average and .889 save percentage so far this season.
United States Hockey League
*RW Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) played one game last week and went scoreless. He has four assists in eight games this season for Muskegon of the USHL.
*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) registered two goals and added two assists in three games over the past week for Assat of Finland’s top league. He now has six points (three goals, three assists) in 12 games and is tied for fourth among league defensemen in goal scoring. He ranks sixth among all players in ice time at 24:03 per game.
*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) registered one assist in two games for Ilves in Finland’s top league, giving him three assists in five games for the season.
*D Miro Karjalainen (fifth round/2014) did not play any games this week. He has no points in four games with HIFK in Finland’s top junior league. He has spent some time with HIFK in the top league as well, but has not played in a game.
*D John Nyberg (sixth round/2014) has been loaned from Frolunda to Oskarshamn of Sweden’s second highest league for two weeks. Nyberg has played one game for Oskarshamn so far, registering no points. Last week, Nyberg also signed a contract with Frolunda through 2017.
*D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) had no points in two games with Farjestad of the Swedish Hockey League. Bystrom has one assist in five SHL games this season.
*D Niklas Hanson (third round/2013) registered three points (one goal, two assists) in three games with Rogle in Sweden’s second highest league over the past week. Hansson has eight points (two goals, six assists) in 15 games. He leads all junior players in the league in scoring and is tied for eighth among all defensemen in points.
*LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) picked up no points in three games for Rogle this past week. Molin has four assists in 14 games for the season.
*D Dmitry Sinitsyn (seventh round/2012) did not register any points in three games in Russia’s second highest league last week. He has seven points (two goals, five assists) in 14 games this season.
*C Devin Shore (second round/2012) had no points as the University of Maine lost two games to Union over the weekend. Shore has one goal in four games this season.
*D Michael Prapavessis (fourth round/2014) had no points in two games for RPI, which lost two games to Denver over the weekend. Prapavessis has no points in four games.
