Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, the European leagues and U.S. colleges.
Ontario Hockey League
*C Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) got off to a strong start in juniors after returning from Dallas Stars training camp. He registered four points (two goals, two assists) in his first two games with the Guelph Storm. In his first game back, Dickinson picked up one goal and two assists and was named the second star in Guelph’s 4-2 win over Plymouth.
*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) picked up three goals and one assist in three games for Belleville over the past week. Elie has seven points (four goals, three assists) in five games.
*D Alex Peters (third round/2014) had no points in two games for Plymouth over the past week. Peters has two assists in four games this season.
*D Patrick Sanvido (seventh round/2014) picked up his first point of the season, registering an assist in Windsor’s 4-3 victory over Barrie on Thursday.
*D Aaron Haydon (sixth round/2014) had no points in one game over the past week, but he did have a couple of big hits in Niagara’s 4-3 loss to Mississauga on Friday.
*G Brent Moran (fifth round/2014) fell to 0-3-0 this season, stopping 34 of 38 shots in Niagara’s 4-3 loss to Mississauga Friday. Moran has a 3.05 goals against average and .902 save percentage this season.
Western Hockey League
*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) is off to a hot start this season with 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in his first eight games for Kamloops. Ully has registered points in seven of eight games and has four multi-point games. This past week he had three goals, four assists in four games.
*LW Brett Pollock (second round/2014) registered one goal and one assist in three games for Edmonton over the past week. Pollock has four points (two goals, two assists) in five games this season.
Quebec Major Junior Hockey League
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) won both his starts last week for Rimouski, including a 22-save shutout of Shawinigan on Friday. Desrosiers is 4-0-0 with a 2.25 goals against average and .913 save percentage.
United States Hockey League
*RW Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) picked up one assist in two games for Muskegon. Paulovic has four assists in five games this season.
*D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) played three games in Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan to get some playing time, and he got just that. Bystrom logged 18:37, 23:54 and 24:27 in the three games while on loan from Farjestad of the Swedish Hockey League. He had no points and a plus-three rating in the three games.
*D Niklas Hanson (third round/2013) registered one goal and one assist in three games with Rogle of the HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden’s second highest league. Hansson has six points (one goal, five assists) in 10 games.
*LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) picked up three assists in games for Rogle of the HockeyAllsvenskan over the past week. He has three assists in six games this season.
*D John Nyberg (sixth round/2014) played three games in Swedish juniors this past week, picking up three assists in three games for Frolunda.
*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) had no points in one game for Assat in Finland’s top league. He has one goal and one assist in six games this season, and is averaging 23:46 of ice time per game.
*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) played his first game of the season in Finland’s top league, picking up no points and logging 11:23 of ice time for Ilves.
*D Miro Karjalainen (fifth round/2014) did not play this past week.
*D Dmitry Sinitsyn (seventh round/2012) registered one goal and two assists in two games for Dynamo Balashikha of Russia’s VHL. Sinitsyn has five points (two goals, three assists) in nine games.
*C Devin Shore (second round/2012) scored a goal as Maine defeated the University of New Brunswick, 8-3, in exhibition play Sunday.
*D Michael Prapavessis (fourth round/2014) registered an assist as RPI defeated the University of Prince Edward Island, 5-2, in exhibition play Sunday.
*Both Prapavessis and Shore begin regular season play this weekend.
