Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and Europe.
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) won his only start of the past week, posting his second shutout in his last four games and his fourth of the season, stopping 28 shots in Rimouski’s 3-0 victory over Drummondville in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Desrosiers has won his last four decisions, posting a 0.57 goals against average and stopping 98 of 100 shots for a .980 save percentage. He ranks seventh in the QMJHL with a 2.87 goals against average and is tied for third with four shutouts.
*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) registered one goal and one assist in one game for Charlottetown of the QMJHL last week, giving him three goals in his last five games. Vance has 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 47 games.
*G Maxime Lagace (free agent/2012) lost his only start with Sherbrooke of the QMJHL last week, stopping 26 of 31 shots in a 6-4 loss to Blainville-Boisbriand. Lagace is 6-11-3 with a 3.76 goals against average and .887 save percentage this season.
*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) registered seven points (four goals, three assists) in four games for Kamloops of the Western Hockey League. Ully leads the Blazers in scoring with 62 points (28 goals, 34 assists) in 57 games.
*RW Branden Troock (fifth round/2012) picked up four assists in four games for Seattle of the WHL over the past week. Troock has 51 points (21 goals, 30 assists) in 47 games.
*D Dmitry Sinitsyn (seventh round/2012) registered one assist in three games for Regina of the WHL. Sinitsyn has 30 points (four goals, 26 assists) in 56 games and is tied for fourth in scoring among rookie defensemen in the WHL.
*C Mike Winther (second round/2012) did not play last week for Calgary of the WHL. He is out one to two weeks with a lower body injury.
*LW Remi Ellie (second round/2013) recorded four points (two goals, two assists) in three games for Belleville of the Ontario Hockey League. Ellie leads Belleville in scoring with 50 points (22 goals, 28 assists) in 48 games.
*C Radek Faksa (first round/2012) picked up four assists in two games for Sudbury of the OHL over the past week. Faksa has 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 17 games since being acquired by Sudbury last month.
*C/LW Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) registered one goal and one assist in two games for Guelph of the OHL. Dickinson has 62 points (20 goals, 42 assists) in 55 games.
*LW Nick Paul (fourth round/2013) picked up three points (two goals, one assist) in two games for North Bay of the OHL. Paul ranks second on North Bay in scoring with 39 points (22 goals, 17 assists) in 56 games.
*C/LW Gemel Smith had no points in two games for London of the OHL, ending his points streak at nine games. Smith has 62 points (30 goals, 32 assists) in 56 games this season with both London and Owen Sound.
*RW Cody Payne (trade acquisition/2013) had one assist in two games for Saginaw of the OHL. Payne has 27 points (20 goals, seven assists) in 45 games.
*C/LW Devin Shore (second round/2012) had three assists in two games for the University of Maine this past weekend. Shore, a sophomore, leads Maine in scoring with 35 points (12 goals, 23 assists) in 28 games.
*LW Alex Guptill (third round/2010) did not play for the University of Michigan this weekend due to a shoulder injury.
*LW Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) had one assist in two games for Muskegon of the United States Hockey League. Paulovic has six points (two goals, four assists) in 14 games since joining Muskegon last month.
*D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) and D John Klingberg (fifth round/2010) did not play last week in the Swedish Hockey League, which is on a break. Bystrom was in North America playing against American Hockey League competition with his SHL team, Farjestad. He had one assist in games against the AHL All-Stars and Toronto Marlies.
*D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) registered two assists in three games for Rogle of Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan. Hansson has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 40 games and is tied for second in scoring among junior defensemen playing in Sweden’s second highest league.
*LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) picked up one assist in three games for Rogle of Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan last week, giving him eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 18 games with Rogle this season.
*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) had no points in three games with Jokerit in Finland’s top league. Lindell has four points (one goal, three assists) in 37 games.
*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) had no points in three games with Ilves of Finland’s top league over the past week. Makela has played five games in Finland’s top league this season, registering no points.
*G Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) lost both his starts for KalPa in Finland’s top league last week, both by 2-1 scores. Kiviaho, who stopped 35 of 39 shots in the two games, is 1-7-0 in the top league this season with a 3.02 goals against average and a .873 save percentage.
