Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and Europe.
*LW/C Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) recorded eight points (two goals, six assists) and a plus-seven rating in three games for Guelph of the Ontario Hockey League over the past week. Dickinson had three assists and a plus-five rating in a 10-4 win over Kitchener on Tuesday. He scored two goals, assisted on one other and was a plus-three in an 8-0 win over Mississauga on Friday. He picked up two assists in a 7-4 win over Belleville on Saturday. Dickinson has 60 points (19 goals, 41 assists) in 53 games and is tied for 26th in scoring in the OHL.
*LW/C Gemel Smith (fourth round/2012) picked up one point in each of his three games for London of the OHL, pushing his points streak to nine games. Smith has 13 points (four goals, nine assists) during the streak. For the season, Smith has 62 points (30 goals, 32 assists) with both London and Owen Sound and is tied for 15th in the OHL in goal scoring.
*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) recorded four points (one goal, three assists) in two games for Belleville of the OHL over the past week. Elie leads the Bulls in scoring with 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists) in 46 games.
*C Radek Faksa (first round/2012) recorded two assists in three games for Sudbury of the OHL. Faksa has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 15 games since being acquired by Sudbury last month.
*LW Nick Paul (fourth round/2013) had one assist in three games for North Bay of the OHL. Paul ranks second on North Bay in scoring with 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists) in 54 games.
*RW Cody Payne (trade acquisition/2013) had no points in three games for Saginaw of the OHL. Payne has 26 points (20 goals, 6 assists) in 43 games.
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2012) won all three of his decisions over the past week for Rimouski of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, stopping 70 of 72 shots. Among his victories was a 1-0 shootout win over Halifax, in which he stopped all 42 shots he faced in regulation and overtime and then turned away all three shots in the shootout. It was the third shutout of the season for Desrosiers, who is 20-13-7 and ranks eighth in the QMJHL with a 2.95 goals against average.
*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) picked up one goal and one assist in three games for Charlottetown of the QMJHL. Vance has 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 46 games this season.
*G Maxime Lagace (free agent/2012) lost both his starts with Sherbrooke of the QMJHL over the past week. Lagace is 6-10-3 with a 3.70 goals against average and .889 save percentage while playing for three different teams in the QMJHL this season.
*D Dmitry Sinitsyn (seventh round/2012) recorded three points (one goal, two assists) and was the second star of the game in Regina’s 7-3 win over Saskatoon in the Western Hockey League on Saturday. Sinitsyn has 29 points (four goals, 25 assists) in 53 games.
*RW Branden Troock (fifth round/2012) had three points (one goal, two assists) in three games for Seattle of the WHL. Troock has 47 points (21 goals, 26 assists) in 43 games.
*C Mike Winther (second round/2012) picked up one assist in three games for Calgary of the WHL. Winther has 22 points (six goals, 16 assists) in 29 games with both Calgary and Prince Albert this season.
*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) had no points in three games last week for Kamloops of the WHL. Ully leads the Blazers in scoring with 55 points (24 goals, 31 assists) in 53 games.
*LW Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) played one game for Muskegon of the USHL, registering no points. Paulovic has five points (two goals, three assists) in 12 games since joining Muskegon last month.
*LW Alex Guptill (third round/2010) picked up one goal and one assist in two games for the University of Michigan over the weekend. Guptill was injured in the second game. Michigan said he had an upper body injury, but did not indicate how serious the injury was. Guptill has 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 23 games.
*C/LW Devin Shore (second round/2012) picked up one assist in two games for the University of Maine. Shore has 32 points (12 goals, 20 assists) in 26 games.
*D John Klingberg (fifth round/2010) scored one goal in three games for Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League. Klingberg is tied for eighth among SHL defensemen in scoring with 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 45 games. All 10 of his goals have come on the power play and he ranks fourth in the SHL in power play goals.
*D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) had no points in three games for Farjestad of the SHL. Bystrom has 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 46 games. He leads Farjestad with a plus-10 rating.
*Neither D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) nor LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) played over the past week as Rogle of Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan was idle.
*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) had no points for Jokerit of Finland’s top league. Lindell has four points (one goal, three assists) in 34 games and is averaging 16:07 of ice time per game as a rookie.
*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) played in his second game for Ilves of Finland’s top league, registering no points.
*G Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) got one start in Finland’s top league, stopping 19 of 22 shots in KalPa’s 4-2 loss to the Lahti Pelicans. Kiviaho is 1-5-0 with a 3.38 goals against average and .866 save percentage in the top league.
