Here’s an update on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, college and Europe.
*LW/C Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) registered three assists in Guelph’s 6-1 victory over Kingston in the Ontario Hockey League on Sunday. It was the third time in the last five games that Dickinson has registered three assists in a contest. Dickinson has 51 points (17 goals, 34 assists) in 46 games, and leads Guelph in assists and is tied for third on the team in points.
*C Radek Faksa (first round/2012) had two assists in three games for Sudbury of the OHL over the past week. Faksa has five points (one goal, four assists) and a plus-five rating in six games since being acquired by Sudbury earlier this month.
*C/LW Gemel Smith (fourth round/2012) scored London’s lone goal in a 3-1 loss to Mississauga in the OHL on Sunday. It was Smith’s first goal since being traded to London earlier this month. Smith has two points (one goal, one assist) in six games with the Knights. He has 27 goals this season with both Owen Sound and London and is tied for 11th in goal scoring in the OHL.
*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) picked up one assist in two games for Belleville of the OHL. Elie leads the Bulls in scoring with 40 points (17 goals, 23 assists) in 37 games.
*C Nick Paul (fourth round/2013) registered five points (three goals, two assists) in three games for North Bay of the OHL. Paul has 29 points (18 goals, 11 assists) in 46 games, and ranks second on North Bay in goals.
*RW Cody Payne (trade acquisition/2013) had no points in two games for Saginaw of the OHL. Payne has 21 points (15 goals, 6 assists) in 33 games.
*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) registered two assists in two games for Kamloops of the Western Hockey League over the past week. Ully leads Kamloops in scoring with 46 points (18 goals, 28 assists) in 44 games.
D Dmitry Sinitsyn (seventh round/2012) had one assist in two games for Regina of the WHL over the past week. Sinitsyn has 21 points (3 goals, 18 assists) in 45 games and ranks fifth among WHL rookie defensemen in scoring.
*C Mike Winther (second round/2012) returned to action after missing more than a month with an upper body injury and scored a goal in his first game back with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.
*RW Branden Troock (fifth round/2012) remains out with an upper body injury for Seattle of the WHL. He is listed as day to day.
*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) got two starts over the past week for Rimouski of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, winning one and losing one. Desrosiers is 16-12-7 with a 3.15 goals against average and .887 save percentage, and ranks 11th in the league in GAA.
*G Maxime Lagace (free agent/2012) went 0-1-1 in his two starts for Sherbrooke of the QMJHL over the past week. Lagace, who has played for three different teams this season, is 5-7-3 with a 3.73 goals against average and .884 save percentage in the high-scoring QMJHL.
*D Troy Vance (fifth round/2011) had no points in three games for Charlottetown of the QMJHL over the past week. Vance has 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 38 games.
*LW Matej Paulovic (fifth round/2013) registered one point in two games for Muskegon of the United States Hockey League. Paulovic has four points (one goal, three assists) in seven games since joining Muskegon in early January.
*C Devin Shore (second round/2012) had one assist in two games for the University of Maine over the weekend. Shore, who had an 11-game points streak snapped, leads Maine in scoring with 27 points (11 goals, 16 assists) in 22 games.
* LW Alex Guptill (third round/2010) and the University of Michigan did not play over the past week. Guptill has 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 17 games.
*D John Klingberg (fifth round/2010) picked up one assist in two games for Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League. Klingberg, who has four points (two goals, two assists) in his last five games, ranks ninth in defenseman scoring in the SHL with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 36 games.
*D Ludwig Bystrom (second round/2012) had no points in two games for Farjestad of the SHL. Bystrom has nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 38 games and leads all junior defensemen playing in the SHL in scoring.
*D Niklas Hansson (third round/2013) registered one assist in two games for Rogle of Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan, giving him six points (two goals, four assists) over his last seven games. Hansson has 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 32 games, and is tied for third in scoring among junior defensemen playing in Sweden’s second highest league.
*LW Emil Molin (fourth round/2011) picked up one assist in two games for Rogle in the HockeyAllsvenskan. Molin has six points (one goal, five assists) in 10 games since joining Rogle.
*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) picked up one assist in three games for Jokerit in Finland’s top league over the past week. Lindell has two points (one goal, one assist) in 28 games.
*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) had one assist in two games for Ilves in Finnish junior hockey. Makela has 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) in 21 games in juniors.
*G Henri Kiviaho (fifth round/2012) got two starts for KalPa in Finnish juniors over the past week, losing both starts while giving up eight goals on 70 shots. Kiviaho is 5-9-3 in juniors with a 3.38 goals against average and .893 save percentage.
