Here are some notes on Dallas Stars prospects playing in juniors, Europe and college.

*G Philippe Desrosiers (second round/2013) won both his starts for Rimouski of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last week, stopping 52 of 55 shots. Desrosiers is 7-6-4 on the season with a 2.92 goals against average and .894 save percentage. Desrosiers, who ranks seventh in the league in goals against average, has won four of his last six decisions, posting a 2.41 goals against average and .912 save percentage during that stretch.

The QMJHL suspended D Troy Vance(fifth round/2011) six games for a dangerous hit on Moncton forward Chris Caissy last week. Caissy, who was injured on the play, is expected to miss about a month.

*LW Remi Elie (second round/2013) scored a goal in each of his three games for Belleville of the Ontario Hockey League over the past week, extending his goal scoring streak to four games. Elie, who has five goals during the streak, has 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) in 13 games since being acquired by Belleville from London in October.

*C/LW Jason Dickinson (first round/2013) picked up 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) in 2 games last week for Guelph of the OHL. Dickinson has 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) in 20 games.

*C Gemel Smith (fourth round/2012) picked up 1 goal and 1 assist in Owen Sound’s 4-1 victory over Sudbury in the OHL on Saturday. Smith has 24 points (16 goals, 8 assists) in 21 games. His 16 goals are tied for third in the OHL.

*C Radek Faksa (first round/2012) picked up 1 goal in 3 games last week for Kitchener of the OHL. Faksa has 9 goals and 3 assists in 15 games for Kitchener, which is having a rough season. The Rangers are 4-11-1 and currently sit last in the OHL standings.

*RW Cody Payne (trade acquisition/2013) ran his points streak to 6 games, picking up 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) in 3 games for Saginaw of the OHL over the past week. Payne has 8 points (4 goals, 4 assists) over the last 6 games.

*LW Nick Paul (fourth round/2013) scored 2 goals in 4 games for North Bay of the OHL. Paul has 10 goals in 21 games and ranks second on his team in goal scoring.

*LW Cole Ully (fifth round/2013) notched 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 4 games for Kamloops of the Western Hockey League last week. Ully has 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists) in 19 games.

*RW Branden Troock (fifth round/2012) registered 3 points (1 goals, 2 assists) in 2 games for Seattle of the WHL. Troock has 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists) in 19 games.

*C Mike Winther (second round/2012) returned from a four-game suspension for Prince Albert of the WHL and picked up 1 assist in 3 games. Winther has 8 points (1 goal, 7 assists) in 10 games this season.

*C Devin Shore(second round/2012) picked up 1 assist in 2 games for the University of Maine over the weekend. Shore has 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) in 9 games.

*LW Alex Guptill (third round/2010) had the weekend off as the University of Michigan was idle.

*There is a break in most European leagues and there are several tournaments being played. Defenseman John Klingberg (fifth round/2012) had 2 assists in 3 games for Sweden at the Karjala Tournament. Klingberg assisted on the game-winning goal as Sweden defeated Finland on Sunday. Sweden finished third at the tournament.

*D Esa Lindell (third round/2012) had one assist in three games for Finland at the 4 Nations U20 tournament in Russia.

*D Aleksi Makela (seventh round/2013) had one assist in three games for Finland at a U19 tournament in Czech Republic.

Injury notes

*G Maxime Lagace (free agent/2012) remains out due to a lower body injury.
