Roope Hintz continues to produce in Finland, Nick Caamano has good week in OHL

Stars forward prospect Roope Hintz continues to pick up points at a steady clip in Finland's top league. Hintz registered one goal and one assist in three games over the past week, including a goal in a 4-1 win over SaiPa.

Hintz, a second-round pick (49th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft, has seven points (four goals, three assists) in his past eight games and has tallied six goals over his past 13 games. For the season, Hintz has registered 23 points (13 goals, ten assists) in 40 games.

Despite missing the first eleven games of the season due to injury, the 20-year-old Hintz is tied for 24th in the league in goal scoring.

Ontario Hockey League

*RW Nick Caamano (5th round/2016) registered five points (two goals, three assists) in four games for Flint over the past week, including three points (one goal, two assists) in a 6-3 win over North Bay on Friday. Caamano, who has points in four of his past five games, has 56 points (29 goals, 27 assists) in 58 games and is tied for 28th in the OHL in scoring.

*D Chris Martenet (4th round/2015) did not record any points in four games with Ottawa of the OHL over the past week. Martenet has eleven points (three goals, eight assists) in 46 games with both Ottawa and London in the OHL this season.

Western Hockey League

*D Ondrej Vala (free agent/2016) picked up one goal and one assist in three games for Kamloops last week. His goal came in a 7-0 win over Edmonton. Vala has 22 points (ten goals, 12 assists) in 53 games for the Blazers.

*Fredrik Karlstrom (3rd round/2016) scored one goal in two games for AIK in Sweden's second highest league last week, tallying in the power play in a 4-1 win over Vasteras. Karlstrom has 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) in 42 games and ranks third in points and fourth in goals among junior players in the league.
