Stars prospect Taylor Peters will be heading to the semifinal of the Memorial Cup after the Portland Winterhawks defeated Saskatoon, 4-2, Thursday night.
Peters had no points, an even rating and four penalty minutes for Portland, which finished round-robin play with a 2-1-0 record.
Stars prospect Matej Stransky had no points and a minus-one rating for Saskatoon, which finished round-robin play with a 1-2-0 mark. Stransky had a couple of good scoring chances in the game, getting stopped on a breakaway in the first period and then hitting a post in the second.
