About the Stars

The Stars (16-13-1) lost their third straight game, falling to the Vegas Golden Knights, 4-3, at American Airlines Center on Saturday. The Stars battled back from 1-0 and 2-1 deficits before Vegas scored two goals in just over two minutes in the second period to take a 4-2 lead.
"This is a really disappointing game. This is fight back, give it away; fight back, give it away," said Stars coach Ken Hitchcock. "Regroup [Sunday] and get ready for the road trip. There'll be a little bit of a look in the mirror in the next 24 hours. We don't have much time to rest, we've just got to get going. We need to process this one and move forward."
Monday begins a four-game road trip for the Stars who take on the New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Philadelphia Flyers over a stretch of six days.
LW Antoine Roussel (elbow) and D Greg Pateryn (thigh contusion) did not practice Sunday, but Hitchcock said they "should be available" on Monday.
C Martin Hanzal, who has missed the last six games with a hamstring injury, practiced Sunday. He will travel with the team and is expected to play during the trip.
The Stars recalled forward Jason Dickinson from Texas (AHL) on Sunday. He will play Monday, according to Hitchcock.
Defenseman Julius Honka will play, as well, after sitting out five of the last six games as a healthy scratch.
Kari Lehtonen will get the start in goal.
Injuries:LW Antoine Roussel (elbow) and D Greg Pateryn (thigh contusion) are probable. C Martin Hanzal (hamstring) is day-to-day. D Marc Methot (knee) is out.

About the Rangers

The Rangers (16-11-2) are coming off a 5-2 win over New Jersey Saturday at Madison Square Garden. Mats Zuccarello scored two goals for the Rangers who pulled to within one point of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and within two points of third place in the tough and highly competitive Metropolitan Division.
"Every game right now is a big game," Zuccarello said. "It's a tight race. Even though we're only in December, it's a tough division, and you need every point you can get."
Since getting off to a poor 3-7-2 start to the season, the Rangers are 13-4-0 in their last 17 games.
Monday's game wraps up a two-game homestand for the Rangers.
Injuries:F Mika Zibanejad (concussion) is out.
