Penny Oleksiak, the sister of Dallas Stars defenseman Jamie Oleksiak, will serve as flagbearer for Canada at the closing ceremonies of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
Oleksiak, a 16-year-old swimmer from Toronto, became the first Canadian athlete to win four medals at a single Summer Olympics.

"I'm super honored to carry the flag for Canada," Oleksiak said Sunday. "I'm just going to be really happy and excited to carry this flag tonight. It's been pretty fun this last week."

Oleksiak, competing in her first Olympics, won Canada's second gold medal in swimming when she tied for first place with Sugar Land, Texas, native Simone Manuel in the 100-meter freestyle event Aug. 11, much to the excitement of big brother Jamie

Oleksiak won a silver medal in the 100-meter butterfly event and two bronze medals as the anchor for the 4x100-meter and 4x200-meter relays.
"She came in and was dominant," Jamie Oleksiak told NHL.com from Rio on Aug. 9. "Was I expecting that? No, but she's always had that competitive nature."
