Stars center Tyler Seguin, who missed the last two practices with a muscle issue, skated this morning at American Airlines Center and will play tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks.
“I am good to go,” Seguin said after the morning skate.
Seguin skated on his usual line with Jamie Benn on the left wing and Valeri Nichushkin on the right.
The rest of this morning’s lineup looked the same as Tuesday’s game against Anaheim. Kari Lehtonen was the first goaltender off the ice this morning, which means he is the likely starter for tonight, but we’ll know for sure at game time.
Tonight’s game is the second meeting between the Stars and Blackhawks. Chicago won, 5-2, at American Airlines Center on November 9.
“We need to eliminate some of the mental mistakes that gave them great opportunities. I think we can skate with them, but their finish was better than ours,” said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. “If we can finish some of the opportunities we had the last game and build off that. We know they are going to get some opportunities, but we have to limit their opportunities.”
The Stars and Blackhawks play three times over the next 12 days.
