The Dallas Stars will try to get back on track tonight when they take on the Calgary Flames at American Airlines Center. The Stars are coming off an 8-1 loss to Chicago Saturday night and are now 0-2-1 on their homestand and 0-3-1 in their last four games overall.
“It’s a bounce back game for us,” said Stars center Jamie Benn. “We need forget about it. It’s a new day today. It’s a big game tonight. On the bright side, we are only three points out of the playoffs. There are a big two points on the line tonight and we have to go get them.”
“It was a bad outing and you’ve just got to put it behind you,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “But those are the times where you guys get pushed to the brink and you’ve got to make a decision. We’ve been hovering around all year in and out of those eighth and ninth spots. Those games can kind of define you, which way you’re going to go. So for me, it gives us an opportunity to push more.”
