FRISCO, Tex. --
The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Philip Larsen
to Frolunda of the Swedish Elite League. The move reduces Dallas’ training camp roster to 46 players.
Larsen, 19, appeared in all three of the Stars’ pre-season games thus far during training camp, going scoreless with a +2 rating. He was drafted by Dallas in the fifth round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft (149th overall).
The Stars have four pre-season games this week (all times CT):
Tuesday vs. Florida (7:30 pm, American Airlines Center)
Wednesday at Florida (6:30 pm, BankAtlantic Center)
Thursday vs. Colorado (7:30 pm, American Airlines Center)
Saturday vs. St. Louis (7:00 pm, American Airlines Center)
The Stars will open up the regular season on Saturday, October 3 vs. the Nashville Predators at American Airlines Center.
